This past weekend was my cousin's wedding so I spent the days leading up to it assisting my mother with the floral arrangements (and subsequently taking photos of them all). I also designed the invitations, programs, table menus, and all other stationary used for the wedding which I will make a post about at a later date. But for now, take a look at the florals; I loved the muted colour palette!
My mom's website is called 'Betty Blooms' and if you check it out, I also assisted with the 3 weddings currently posted. She makes arrangements for weddings, graduations, and more in the GTA so if you're in need of a florist, check out her contact page!
Sorry I haven't posted very often lately, things have just been crazy busy. Anyways, as many of you are well aware, sometime when I think something is funny or it just catches my interest, I can't help but make it happen (a few of you might remember the LotR/CTO mash-up poster). Thus forth, this poster was made:
A few weeks ago at work some co-workers and I were making jokes about employees keeping their language clean while they are at work (i.e., not swearing). I made a comment that we aren't sailors so we have to watch our language and it developed into the tagline of "You're a seller, not a sailor, so please watch your language". Then we joked about making a poster with a picture of a pin-up sailor on it with that written on it and hanging in the back room at work... so of course, I actually did it.
It's been a while since I've drawn something by hand, but I couldn't help but add colours, text, and some more textures in digitally. My patience for hand-rendering has weened, but I didn't realize how much I missed it until I drew this up. Just for a random bonus, here's a picture of the original sketch:
